A perfect location in the middle of the woodland. Its amazing how much thought and effort went into building this bunker.
i would love to know more of the history of this place.
Lets just say they was well prepared if anything was to happen.
After doing a little research all i know is i the house was applied to become a care home to house 76 residents but was rejected. At the time council planners rejected the application on the grounds that it was a `inappropriate development within the metropolitan green belt.` Villagers was concerned about the damage caused by the development. Planning officers rejected the applications saying "The harm to the landscape and character of the area, by virtue of the scale of the development, amount, layout and site coverage would not be outweighed by the identified benefits of the scheme" Now more than twelve months on the developers have submitted a revised planning application with a number of `significant changes`
The explore..
First we entered the area and saw a few old abandoned cars, we continued and came across a huge pool area, with a smaller pool and a bar.
After continuing to walk around we come across the most well stocked and hardly damaged bunker i had ever seen.
There was so much stock from boxes of blankets a huge stock pile of washing products right down to disposable underwear and several tins of food and bundles of containers with sugar.
To be honest the bunker was the best bit after spending a little while inside we decided to take a look at the house. There was a few broken windows but not much sign of an entry. Once an entry to the house was found and we got inside into the first room we walked into another room and spotted a sensor which we set off. FUCK.
A big alarm started going of so we exited swiftly. Such a shame but it was defiantly worth a visit not even for the house just for the bunker and the swimming area.
