Hi all
I have recently signed up although I have been exploring abandoned buildings in a fairly gentle way ever since I was a kid. I am about to take a weeks holiday near Richmond in North Yorkshire with my 15 year old daughter. We live in Norfolk and she has been on many 'safe' explores with me - I have been using this site for research since way before she was born. She uses her phone and I am a photographer so we have slightly different approaches! I was hoping for some advice on some good places to visit during our break which would be suitable. It doesn't matter if they are really well explored, they will be new to us but it would be great to find something really exciting. Any help would be hugely appreciated!
Many thanks :)

The Gunnerside valley in Swaledale makes a good walk with some surface ruins. Plenty of lead mines to explore there too if that's your thing - the Bunton/Bunting level is an easy/safe one for some distance before it gets wet.
