With a recent spate of reports appearing on this place I thought I should high-tail myself over there, and Kerry-Leigh and Luke Takes Pictures kindly joined in
and after a trip to Twyford Abbey got cut short by deathtrap floors and a run in with some builders and a particularly spikey fence we were on our way.
The history has been done a lot recently, so I'll just get right on with the pics. It really is an awe-inspiring example of Victorian engineering and flamboyance and a spectacularly photogenic place. As we were leaving we heard the pumps start up behind us.....
