, After an interesting entrance with added scratches and bruises to my collection, we both struggled to get a feel of this place.........so so busy with so much trash around. Anyway had a good look around and then ventured back out and had a look across the site.
History - The factory, formerly owned by Synpac and before that Glaxo, was taken over by ACS Dobfar with the help of a £2m Government grant and makes raw penicillin for use in antibiotics worldwide.
ACS DOBFAR is a privately owned Italian Company. Being one of the major producers of Bulk Cephalosporins and Penicillin both oral and for injection and exporting its API's all over the world. The Company is one of the leading exporters to the US market as well as an important supplier to many companies in the world, who currently export their Finished Dosage Forms to the US market, using ACS DOBFAR Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. ACS DOBFAR is not only considered a "Generics Producer", but a "Strong Key Partnerâ€" of Multinational Company focused on the bulk production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Finish Dosage Forms. The company includes fermentation facilities, bulk chemical synthesis facilities, pharmaceutical factories that conform to GMP and FDA rules.
