Hard to miss if you are arriving in Nepal by air, just next to the runway is a scrapped widebody. A Turkish Airlines plane that crashed upon landing in March 2015 with no fatalities, the fuselage was too damaged to economically repair, and after Turkish Airlines reclaimed the engines and stripped the seats from the interior, it was left of airport land to the Nepalese authorities. It hasn't been salvaged, but instead plans were approved to turn it into a museum/cafe about Nepalese aviation in general. Now fully a museum, we caught it just before it become rather unrecognisable (Jun 17).
