Following on from Turkey's excellent report on Humbrol in Hull a couple of weeks ago I went today to have a look after the recent fires last week.
Astonished at how a site can go from pristine to absolute ruin within the space of 6 months since its closure. Went yesterday but didnt take my camera. Didnt revisit the offices upstairs again because quite frankly it is eerie and really trashed up there. Human waste and syringes spotted...
Here are some pictures:
The exterior
Oops ! Just asking for trouble although it does have the fire service axe marks in it !
The first of 2 'fire hotspots' - A storage and distribution warehouse and also the newest part of the site.
This fork lift is going nowhere... (Fire damaged storage warehouse)
Through to the older assembly area...
Utter destruction...
Closed for longer than lunch methinks !
A sleeve of one of their model kits
Completely senseless...
The engineering work shop...
A trashed telephone exchange at the stairs leading to the upper offices
Must have been value for money joining this union... NOT
Not so health and safety concious nowadays...
Meet you for lunch in the canteen...
Don't forget these regulations.. The induction must have been fun here...
The calling 'cards' of our darling chav friends...
Must have used a few of these when the place went up...
Balsa wood thingymujigs anyone?...
This ship has most definitely sunk...
Squad, A...ttention !
Some random outbuildings
The security here is a bit lacking...
A crying shame and really not worth travelling to. Not much else that Turkeys' and my photos don't show.
