A collection of little things I came across while driving round Anglesey looking at mills.
I haven’t seen pictures of these, but maybe some of the houses are known - there’s certainly no shortage of small-scale wreckage in rural Wales.
After a while I stopped pulling over for this sort of stuff.
Beecroft, Valley (53.282062, -4.561865). An old house almost opposite a Spar where I was buying a sandwich.
There has been a planning application for demolition.
It’s a pigeon-infested hellhole - my type of place.
Air Raid Shelters, Valley (53.258460, -4.547711). Just a few bumps in the grass near the airfield.
There’s a post on here with history but no pictures, https://www.28dayslater.co.uk/threads/raf-valley-aug-16.105520/.
Glan-rhyd, between Llanrhyddlad and Llandeusant (53.360810, -4.503465).
I haven’t attempted to find any history but it was presumably a farmhouse.
External from street view since I forgot to take one.
Round the back are sheds, a little sailing boat and either an RV or ambulance covered in brambles.
Ysgubor-ddegwm, near Bethel (53.205695, -4.392057).
Named according to an old map - ysgubor-ddegwm apparently means a tithing barn.
Nothing inside except a chair, a bed and what I assume is a roosting box in the rafters.
Tyn-graig Farm, near Newborough (53.160341, -4.362623).
Seems to have been vacant for about a decade; other than that no history.
