Well, it was an early start for me, and after joining Pixielulu, Joe and Damon, we headed down to Annesley to meet up with a few more folks off of here and get a 'guided tour' of Annesley Colliery.
Despite being only a relatively small site, this place was impressive. It was full of stuff left over from when it was open and Dweeb certainly knew his stuff. I wouldn't have really had much of a clue at times if it wasn't for his knowledge.
Now, not being one for heights, climbing that headstock, although not a difficult task, was bloody mental with the wind blowing at you but well worth it, another personal challenge complete.
It was nice to meet some new people and put names to faces and also thanks to Dweeb for the tour and thanks to Pixie for driving.
It's a bit done to death recently with reports so I hope I have managed to get a few shots others haven't.
