Visited with Muttley.
Been watching ths place for a while since Muttley mentioned it was now disused. A narrow window of opportunity suddenly arose, so an early morning visit was speedily arranged.
Not much history on this place, other than it was built in 1868 and served the local methodist community until it's closure in 2008.
Exterior
As explores go, this one was pretty uninspiring to be honest. The interior decor is very bland and there was very little in the way of 'artifacts'. Not a hymn sheet or prayer book in sight.
Interior
Pews
Pulpit
Moving on from the main room (Nave???) things get even more uninteresting. There is a small room (Vestry???) to one side which again has nothing of interest.
Vestry / Office
Moving downstairs there is a kitchen area, a couple of toilets and a large room probably used for sunday school.
If rooms could speak, this one would keep it's gob shut
Apart from a small undercroft housing the boiler, that's essentially your lot. So here's some more photos of random stuff in an attempt to make this place look more interesting than it actually is...
Holy cobwebs
Funky glass
Thermostaticalation device
60 degrees fahrenheit
I'm a secret lemonade drinker
To be fair, I was surprised at the lack of vandalism/rubbish/trashedness. Perhaps the pikies and smackheads have taken notice of this polite message painted on some boarding outside...
Overall verdict: Wish I'd stayed in bed :
