Just a little one this - Barony Power Station produced power for the neighbouring Barony Colliery, which has now been almost completley flattened. There's not much of the power station left, either, but for a concrete and brick block it has some nice lighting :)

You know how I said that the colliery had been almost completley flattened? Well, one bit remains - the listed A-frame has been repainted and now stands alone surrounded by "interpretation boards" and a talking interactive exhibit.

I suppose it's better than nothing, but it only just made me very sad - stripped of real history, cleaned painted and made unclimbable, it seems a very sanitised reminder.
