So I know this place has been done to death, but it's being torn down with increasing speed so I wanted to check it out before it was gone for good because seeing pictures isn't the same as seeing it for yourself. I'm still new at UE so this for me was a big step forward as I was there alone and it's a spooky place.

Barrow Hospital (sometimes referred to as Barrow Gurney Hospital) was a psychiatric hospital.
In 2003 the NHS Trust announced its intention to close Barrow Hospital by 2008. By 2004 only three residential wards remained open. In 2005 a national survey of hospital cleanliness named Barrow as the dirtiest in Britain and Barrow Hospital has been closed since 2006.
