BASF's pigment plant in Paisley has been going for about 60 years - originally run by Ciba Geigy, the plant produces over 18,000 tonnes of pigments a year. Or it did - I'm not sure how current those figures are, as BASF have reduced the workforce from 900 to 120. Some parts of the site are disused, some are being refurbished, and much of it is still very active, so this was an entertaining series of visits
I have no idea of the processes involved, so this is just going to be some pretty pictures, sorry...
