Battersea Power Station.... Remember that place? I’d forgotten all about it too after everyone said it couldn't be done any longer - until we had a little revisit a couple of months ago – Yep, turns out it was still doable all along!

I was quite happy to get back there and get some better shots of A-side Control Room as the lights were off during my initial visits a few years back. Nothing you haven't seen before, with the possible exception of some original Control Room Feeder Log Sheets we found in there - Dated November 1977 :)

And in case you are wondering what the rest of the place looks like now - here's a crappy phone shot showing the scaffolding. The entire centre area was crammed full with more scaff than you possibly imagine!

Mint pictures, dead straight, I like them. Funny how the place fell out of favour really. I know some people were busted hard and the cops always came out but that's London for you.

Nice to see its still possible, wonder if they are still planning on making the control room into a overpriced twattish cocktail bar... Those log sheets have always been in that cabinet thou :)

Been thinking about going back here for a while, might give it a bash next time I'm in town. Like you say, people were busted but doesn't mean it can't be done :D

Oh, very good photos by the way :)

As far as I'm aware it's still going ahead. Might have to ponce around with a cocktail when it's open, just to see what they do with it.
I assumed the log sheets would have been - I think most people miss them though judging by the fact they are still there!

Such an awesome place and a place I remember seeing a lot on trips to see family in London as a kid

Plenty of them ;) There are some untouched rooms over on B side that are stuffed full of documents and maps. Probably in a skip now unforutnately.

If they do a good job and sort of light it all up like the did in the kings speach it might look ok. They'll have to keep the lovely floor under the carboard too hopefully. Suprised nobody has tried to pull the cardboard up again, it was uncovered for a while!

Everything of worth was removed, belive me. Workers had some stuff forsale on ebay too. I wake up to a pair of log sheets every morning
