HISTORY
This waste water treatment plant is all that remains of the former Bayer Agrochemical Facility in Hauxton near Cambridge. The main facility across the road was demolished in 2010. The land was so badly contaminated with chemicals that a massive decontamination operation was undertaken, and it was reported at the time that the fumes from chemicals being released on site were having ill effects on local residents.
EXPLORE
This was a nice chilled out mooch with plenty of opportunities to do some climbing as well as some relaxing. All in all a jolly good day out. Along with photos, I made a short edit of GoPro footage; however, I tried to make this a little bit more interesting and dynamic than the usual self-indulgently long videos we tend to see too much of nowadays. Hopefully you find it interesting; feedback is welcome.
