Visited with Seffy.
A couple of days earlier we had arranged an evening in London but at the last minutes we did a 180 degree decision and decided to travel in the opposite direct to look a crane we have had our eye on for a while. The crane sits on the construction site of the new Bayscape development. It was very chilled up there with some nice views of the bay.

Well, I don't want to say this crane was tricky as such, but certainly involved some improvising. It involved high hoarding with razor wire around the top. Razor wire wrapped around the base of the crane. As well as two locked trap doors. Someone didn't want this thing climbed!

Thanks for looking.

Bayscape is a prestigious waterfront development in a booming and proud Capital city. Plans for a £60m waterfront flats and hotel development, stalled by the global financial crisis, have been given the go-ahead. Cardiff council’s planning committee backed a proposal by the developers behind the Bayscape scheme to increase the number of apartments and commercial space. Under the new plans, the hotel – which could become one of the tallest buildings in Wales – will be built in a later phase. The 32-storey hotel, to be run by American luxury chain Wyndham Hotels, has been dogged by delays since planning permission was granted in October 2009. At 127m high, it would be higher than the 80m Capital Tower, the BT Tower, which is 78m with a 40m spire on top, and the 107m-tall Meridian Quay in Swansea.
