This was the third explore on a day me & Kinger hit about ten sites in Devon/Somerset. I feel like the West Country is either a bit of an untapped resource, or just full of mediocre sites. The jury is still out for me...

A previous report from June 2010 by Collingwood shows an office and workshop which is no longer in-situ, but other than that, the site is pretty much the same. He also covered the small amount of history behind this site.

The underground workings seem a little unstable to me, especially the entrances. While we were there, the stone around the top and sides was continuously crumbling and falling as the icicles that had formed were thawing, only tiny bits but enough to make you stop and think! There are a couple of turns and after about 150-200ft at end of the workings, there are stone, brick and metal roof supports.

It's only a small site, but fairly interesting nonetheless

Several volumes of "The Sea" were laying around in the Workshop
