Final mixed bag lot from my trip, it's only taken me a week to sort all these out....
First up, after we arrived in Liege we had a bit of spare time before nightfall so consulted the location map, and the Chartreuse Fortress seemed like a worthy place to spend some time. Sadly we were running out of light pretty quick by the end so it was a little bit rushed, I could've spent at least twice as long in the place as we did. Some of the older artwork in the place is really quite cool, but the highlights of the place are the brilliant staircases scattered throughout the buildings.

Next up, the Hofstade Swimming Stadium. We knew that the area had suffered a lot of rain before we turned up however nothing prepared us for what we saw, the open-air swimming pool had been flooded, and not just a small amount, a proper biblical flood! It led to the odd predicament of having to leave and re-enter the site three times to get to every area...
The top of a ladder (or something) is just visible...

Lastly in this little batch is a quick visit to Kasteel Goorhof, passed on our way up north it must have been spectacular in it's day but now lies pretty much in ruins, the only way upstairs barely able to support my arm resting on it let alone my body weight so it was a no go...

So that's pretty much it, just one more location report to go and I'm done...
