Growing up in Selly Oak i was always aware of this works, and watched it gradually get smaller through the 90's until it finally finished manufacturing, and a retail park was built on the old site. Originally built in 1871 this works was was a major landmark on the A38 and canal network. IIRC it was taken over by the battery and metals company when they bought Guests Brass Stamping Co. and moved production from Digbeth to Selly Oak.
Visited with Rigsby, we decided to swing by for a mooch seeing as we were passing on route to another site. Having seen the other reports i doubt there will be much life left in this wonderful victorian redbrick building, as it is a lot more trashed since dweeb has been in there.
