Visited with Dangerous Dave and Cunningcorgi,
After an 6am start with picking Dave up at the station we met up with Cunningcorgi before heading over the bridge and into Wiltshire.
We covered a hell of a lot of ground in 7 hours all helped by some excellent navigation by cunningcorgi, total pleasure walking around this place and cant think of a better way to spend a day underground. A big thanks to both for showing me around !
The Route
Started in Cathedral (Central) and took the AO Route to the well. From the well (Northern), we took Cliftworks Passage to the Iron Door. From the Iron Door, we turned off to Stack Passage and Box Crane 1
Returned to Cliftworks Passage and continued before turning off again to Bakerloo Line and Box Crance 2.
From crane 2, we went around to see the Box Winch.
From the winch we went to Trident Way and saw Box Crane 3
We then went past Box Cranes 4 and 5 as we went to the end of Finis Laborandi where the plaque was
We then went through the window and past the blocked shaft and returned to Cliftworks Passage (the junction with 3/4 roads)
We took the Via Ultima and went past the toilet.
Went past Box Crane 6 and then continued all the way to the very end where we saw Box Crance 7.
Returned to the junction and took a quick detour to the end of Cliftworks Passage where we saw Box Crane 23.
Bypassed the falls on Cliftworks by returning the way we came until we got to the tools bench and then rejoined Cliftworks
Followed Cliftworks Passage all the way back (through the bottom of the shaft) to the point we nearly started at, at the well.
Instead of going back to the well, we took the WOn Passage heading east and eventually we came to the stone steps and the Alpha shafts in the MOD section.
Went into the MOD section and got to the grill. Through the grill and into the tunnel and then to Brewers Drift and then the Red Door. Had a look at the centre passage with PISS OFF on the concrete
Returned to the grill and then went across to Wind tunnel
From Wind Tunnel went to junction 17 and the robots
Then we took the B12 route all the way back to the well in Cliftworks Passage. Went to the start of Cliftworks to see the entrance in the back garden.
Finally returned on the AO Route to Cathedral
