History of Box is well known but this report was sort of inspired by this report - http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php/75762-Box-Mine-South-November-2012 - of a visit made by Oxygen Thief and Urban Junky.
Have been through Jacks and up through the southern region of Box on quite a few occasions but as Oxygen Thief said in his original report, it is a region that is kind of ignored in that it is used as a way to other parts of Box when it has plenty of interest in its own right. This reports picks up towards the end of the OT / UJ report and follows the B12 route to Box Junction 12 when it was time to go and make the quick exit to Cathedral through Crane Passage. It was pissing rain outside and not that much drier underground !
THE VISIT
1. Box Crane 10
2. End of Roman Way
3. Propage on the way to REM's Crawl
4. Box Crane 9
5. Parasols
6. Along the B12
7. Jump in...
8. ...to this
9. Following Dick Fletcher, 115 years later...
10. Junction 17 robots
11. Heading north
12. Roofs, props and loco marks just after Junction 12
Thanks for looking.
