My second post of the evening was the post at Brassington also in Derbyshire.
When I eventually located the Post it was getting dark. Finding it was one thing getting to it was another. After one failed attempt down a public foot path worrying some sheep. I ended up just walking across a field in plain view of a farm towards the post. The post was in a square compound in a triangular field on the side of a hill there was a stile over a double fence into the triangular field although some Muppet had removed the cross bar of the stile which made crossing interesting.
Entry to the compound was a doddle.
A "T" bar ("L" shape) is required to unlock the hatch. As i don't have one no internal access was gained.
One unusual item was this GPO pillar.
Above the post on a rocky outcrop is an aircraft observation post (2 level).
Unfortunately whilst crossing the comedy stile I twisted my ankle. So that Night's exploration came to an end. Another visit required me thinks.
