Report - Broom Street works - Stoke - Sept 21

Always referred to as the broom street works, I didnt realise that the broom street works was actually a broom works on broom street which is presumably why it has the name broom streel & not just a random works on broom street or a massive coincidence!
Not much history to be had for this one Im afraid

​

For ages this was one I "never bothered" with but to echo prev reports its quite a little gem once you get past the mundane terrace frontage!
First one is greeted by some rather nice sliding door action

Once inside there is some lovely broomy machiney things but despite my engineering background I still have no idea how any of them worked!

Just a few nice bits of decay from the rest of the building

That's such a rarity nowadays. Especially in a large town/city..they normally get trashed so quickly..

It's a shame it's being demo'd
This place was I real surprise when I crawled through the window of what looked like a shitty terraced house I was amazed to find all the machinery and tools inside. It was a real gem. Did you make it upstairs? There was a first floor room at the back with deadly floor boards that was full of metal stamps and other branding paraphernalia. It managed to avoid the Facebook tour bus and the YouTube muppets too.

Yes I did some of upstairs (last pic was up there) but as u say floors were very sketchy so didn't venture furthur.
Strangely I missed the window at first & managed to squeeze through gate lol
