Burlington...

Then we moved on to the kitchens, and more importantly the coffee machine ! Even better, there's two of them identical...

A walk around the kitchens and then it starts to hit you, the sheer scale of everything. They occupied so much space so why not use it I guess.

Near the coffee machines there was a table laid out...

Near one of the lifts there is an impromptu mining museum, I don't know why. You've seen hundreds of shots of it, here's one more...

There were old plans and maps all over the place.

This was an eye opener, the reservoir...

I didn't see the boat, but I know some others have.

Here's another little room we found...

There were journals and reference books in many rooms. Lists of all the Officers in the forces, Who's Who, medical books, law books, mining books, engineering books. I suppose that maybe they assumed they might be the only source of knowledge left?

Some nice mining relics and paperwork in there...

Three groups of us met up at this point. You could never have imagined this a few years ago.

A quick shot from the hospital, one of the consulting rooms...

Also in the hospital I found this, it's part of an old telephone directory...

The telephone exchange, well, was just beautiful and massive...

The scale of which was nothing compared to next door though. A large empty space with telephone gear around it's perimeter...

...we decided to go to the West Lung to see more of the old shadow factory and the power house.

I've been down here a few times now, and still haven't seen some significant parts.
