Myself and Markymark revisited today, with the aim of systematically getting around the whole site.
We definately achieved this, and managed to catch all the highlights along the way! I'm not saying we managed to see absolutely everything, because a couple of whole blocks were sealed for asbestos removal (areas 18 & 17) and also i didn't get to see the escalator, or any signs of electrical generation? Something you expect for a self suficiant site.
I wasn't sure whether or not to bother with a whole new report, but what the hey!
I wanted to capture more shots of the type of items that are left lying around down there! Its quite unbelievable to be honest! At one point we found a room packed with brand new 1960's black government telephones, and another with government telegram paper!
I also wanted shots from some different areas, and we HAD to see the telephone exchange!
Anyway, heres some more pics from Burlington:
The map/cabinet planning room!!
and the map drawers: (bloody empty!)
Thanks for looking!
