A massive fire in Preston that caused hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage and saw neighboring homes evacuated was started deliberately, police believe.
Police have launched a criminal investigation into the blaze.
The showroom at Frank Street was completely destroyed
The fire broke out at about 9pm on Friday 21st December 2018, and at its peak 100 firefighters were at the scene battling the blaze.
Explosions were heard and neighboring homes and a mosque had to be evacuated because of fears over toxic smoke.
Now police say they believe the fire was started deliberately.
DC Andy Gill from Preston CID said: “This was a huge fire which has left two businesses devastated just before Christmas. We are treating the fire as arson and need anyone who may have seen anything or anyone acting suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.
DC Gill added that the fire caused hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage to the buildings, which have been completely destroyed. One hundred and fifty cars were also damaged.

Strangely fascinating, good report but also sad. So many brands I take it. The orange rust everywhere is photogenic , but also strange I would expect some burnt out wood, and grey/black somewhere.

Went tonight. When I say went I mean was followed round the outside by two men in a taxi then was accused of being on private property when outside the mosque

We went a few week ago for a scout about and was followed around by a guy in a black Mercedes.. Sure he was videoing us too looking through the fence..

Nice one mate you notice all the wire between the trees ? Some failed attempt at trip wires. Cracking shots. We missed the roller too.
