Bury Sidings

Another ELR one from me, there's a lot more coming from here.

Not too much info on this place; the sidings sit just up from Bury Bolton St. Station and contain a number of wagons dating back to the 1940s. A Motor Rail Simplex 4wDM also sits, seemingly abandoned, on the tracks behind the locked gate. The stock is owned by the ELR and various linked preservation societies.

Is that a train I hear?

Managed to get a wave from the driver somehow...either that or he was telling me to "#### off!".
I couldn't quite hear him over the sound of the wind.​

It was a nice find, looks to be in pretty good nick.

The last time it ran seems to be (after a bit of time with Google) 2011 in a brief shunting demonstration. The ELR have another Simplex but it's undergoing heavy repair
