It was announced Camelot would not reopen for the 2013 season. Big deal I thought, I'm sure it's closed down several times and always got back on it's feet but having seen it being pulled apart I had to pay a visit. It was really saddening to see the place in this state, having been many times and even holding a season pass one year. It could never live up to the likes of Alton Towers but the jousting displays never failed to entertain.
Not the best picture but as the main building in the entrance courtyard it seems the best to start with. Had to sneak it as we were being escorted out at this point and were told "No more photos".
Had a great little wander around prior to that though...
There was an occupied vehicle parked just round that corner which ruined our plan to watch the sunrise from the top of the Knightmare coaster...
I loved this ghost train. Enjoyed a wander around inside it but didn't get any pictures worthy of posting.
The Dragon Flyer, unlikely to find a new home as the track was made specifically for the site.
The stables and changing rooms beyond for the jousting performers.
I'd hoped for some good views of the park from up here but got little more than a load of tree.
Thanks for looking
