Report - CAMELOT THEME PARK june 2015

the park was opened in 1983 and operated till 2012 . after nearly 30 years in operation camelot was becoming old hat and struggled with falling attendance due to bigger n better theme parks in the region . in 2006 a healthy food survey gave it a dismal 1 point which is about as low as you can go !
closure was announced in november 2012 due to falling visitor numbers and increased maintenance costs due to the age of the park ! applications by the owners to build 420 houses on the derelict site have repeatedly been refused by the authoritys due to it being in the greenbelt .
the park has recently suffered a series of arson attacks , most of the rides have been sold to foreign attractions but the knightmare rollercoaster remains in place and unsold !
oct 2001 an employee was struck n killed by THE GAUNTLET roller coaster , the park received a fine of £40,000 for lack of safety procedures for its staff , in august 2011 a 12 yr old boy fell from the EXCALIBUR 2 ride and survived !
i visited the site on 2 occasions and was quite impressed with the site , plenty to see n do ! on my second visit i had a non member with me who knew the site from taking school trip visits there when she was a schoolteacher . on my first visit i was approached by an unkempt security guard who i thought was another curious visitor like myself ! after a light hearted exchange i calmly left the site , i think the security are not really bothered about photographers roaming the site ! its when you have a group of scallies running amock that they tend to be concerned ! on my second visit i saw no security whatsoever ! if you are one of the very few who have not visited there , then you are in for a treat !

easy MISS MAYHEM , i bloody missed the second bit where the roller coaster was ! plus a walkway near the jousting collapsed on me and i put a nail thru the soft part of my hand while falling ...lol

Fair enough, but there is so
