21/4/19 - Camelot Theme Park - Busted by security.
Hey everyone, so just a short one here. Few of us from Sheffield side have started doing some exploring and after looking around the typical youtube channels and websites for a few days we set off about 11PM to Camelot Theme Park. For anyone thats been you know the area and that theres still a fully operational hotel and other businesses next to it. So thats a biggie. But onto the story
So we got there roughly half 12/1am. In hope that there would be minimal people/security around, which we thought was a good idea and it did seem that way. We scouted the area. Walked around a good half of the Parks fence and attempted to make an entry. Upon getting so far we could hear an engine/generator and could see a parked car within the gates. Mission aborted and went back around to try a different entry.
I wont say where we got in but according to security it must be a new one. What I will say is if anyone is standing on any wood or high places, BE CAREFUL!
Now we managed to get a good half of the park, through what I would think is a small stalls area up to the big roller coaster and the food court before being caught going towards the cathedral by a guard with dogs. (Did not release the dogs)
To say this was around 2AM I dont think our pictures are too bad. I took these with my Razer Phone 2. Using Google Camera and Night Mode. Unfortunately there wasnt much to see the way we went but Im glad we took the route we did otherwise we would have been caught sooner.
There is hidden cameras, We managed to see 1 but we know theres more, and there is also motion detecting devices which we triggered many times. (Security showed us the amount of pings he got)
The security guards are great people. They were not aggressive, harmful or anything like that. The guy that got us (dog guy) we were having a nice chat and laugh with as he walked us to his other guys to let us out. They do take a picture of you though to show their bosses and in case you are caught again. So i recommend making the most of it as a second visit could be alot different if caught. There is 4 sets of security guys covering the park, and damn they can run fast
The location is widely known and can be found by googling the name so i wont be putting anything here. The pictures arent the best quality as im still learning the settings to get the best night shots.
