Caroles Folly Mine

History

None. Well not exactly true but the only evidence of its existence is a label of 'Quarry' on an 1892 Map of the local area.

Totally not worth bothering with unless you are driving through Avening, are bored and have failed everywhere else.

The Visit

Bit of a shit day really, as I woke up to a flat tyre on the car and a lot of rain, went out exploring and only managed to tick three locations off the list as 'not there anymore' but did come across a small hole by the side of the road on the way back that looked interesting as it turned out it wasnt really but at least it was underground, a mine and I got some photos.

I named it Caroles Folly as she took one for the team and stayed outside in case something went wrong so even though she found it she didnt go in.
