Report - Cavendish Mill, Labs visit - Sept 24

Cavendish Mill Labs

What can I say about this place? After @Webbs0710 superb report here https://www.28dayslater.co.uk/threads/british-fluorspar-cavendish-mill-peak-district-aug-24.138522/ I knew I had to see this place having visited a lot of the flospar mines that served the mill.
So after a bit of intel from @HughieD I made a solo visit to the mill & had a superb time, but seeing @Exploring with Andy replies with labs pics there was still a itch to scratch!

So I returned with my son & non forum mate with a plan hatched & being the oldest & largest of the trio I immediately squeezed through the tight access with a bemused feeling & we were in.

I will try & keep this to the labs as im sure others will like to post the mill but boy there was plenty to see just in here!
Ill leave the history with the last report.

The main lab room seems to of had a few bits moved from Andys pics but there is still plenty of nasty stuff in there to play with.

Moving on through the corridors we were pretty much on hands & knees due to securitys car we could see out all the windows... oh u will laugh later!

Locker room & First aid room was pretty sparse

Further along & after a bit more crawling there was some cool draughtsman storage draws.

The final room we encountered was this nondescript office, I took this snap then stepped inside, I then looked left to a corner room to see a pair of feet!
Yep security was asleep on the floor!
Some frantic arm waving & we backed out without him even waking

Thats about it from here.. oh go on then just a few from the mill.

Thanks AK it sure is. I would say its difficult but secca is about as useful as the security dog in the mill!

Thoes labs are properly nice. It took a bit of time to get into them when I had a look.

Was by no means a easy access but I wouldnt b surprised if one of the doors is open when secca is asleep in there

It did seem futile in the end lol.
I knew the guy wasnt the sharpest from my last visit when I was just above his car in the mill watching him snooze

Cracking shots there! Think I need to revisit again in daylight, was almost dark by the time I got in the labs on my last visit, had to scarper as Secca was actually awake... Only came looking after being on site for 3 hours 😂

Very accessible. It’s all over FB now too. Bumped into some lads there who said security let them in the labs/offices. Urbex lost and found goon there today with 5 mates. 😂
