Blenod was easily a major highlight of this trip, due to the size of the building and machinery. I could have taken photos here all day if I wasn't half asleep.
This was probably the most difficult place on our trip, it seemed, at the time, that this was the only power station in France that anyone had even bothered to secure. After a bit of figuring out, a long stroll across a massive open conveyor in the rain, climbing through tiny gaps between pipes, a 40 minute lie down in the rain high in he air) and a slippery descent to the ground, we had found our way inside.
Blenod was built in 1969 and ceased operation in 2014. I can't find a lot about the specs online, but it does boast some pretty sweet 'schneider-ness'.
