Chandless Estate is/was a set of 3 17 Storey tower blocks, plus 20 Blocks of 3 & 4 Storey Maisonettes in Gateshead. Built in the 60's to replace rundown terraces, demolition is now in progress.
By the looks of it all of the Maisonettes are gone and demolition is well under way on the first of the 3 tower blocks, asbestos and soft stripping is complete, awaiting demolition using a "super high reach demolition excavator" due to the proximity of the under ground Metro tunnel and major dual carriageway.
For some reason I was getting a hell of a lot of flare with the 10-20mm, not sure why, it was the same when fitted to AJ's camera. Never had a problem before... Oh, and my camera is still filthy
