A small stop we made this summer while we were in France this summer - the remains of what once was a chateau or something of that sort. I didn't manage to find any info about it online, but seems like in the 50s it was used as a hotel. No idea when it was built or abandoned, but judging by its state it has been abandoned for a long time - the roof has completely collapsed, many of the floors have collapsed as well. The chateau is situated in a large private area of which most is full of trees but some parts near the chateau seem active or at least cared-for. For us that meant a long walk through the forest and some running across roads, but no major complications. Non-industrial ruins are not my cup of tea, so I didn't bother with a tripod. My friends took more time with their photos, but we were done in about an hour or so. The highlight was for sure the central area with stairs and semi-intact skylight.
In any case, I'd recommend a visit if you are close since the skylight is really nice. Be warned that entering is a hazard, the building is falling apart at best. Now on with the photos!
