Visited with Userscott and reefdog. And what a night it was! About ten seconds after getting on the site we were spotted by a patrolling guard and had to run. Ten minutes later we tried again, carefully working our way to the stairs that took us right up to the top of the slope.
From here we made our way past mountain murals and ski lifts to the lower end, passing the kid's toboggan chute on the way. At the base you could see where the viewing areas and offices were being fitted out. Above on a gantry we found an endless row of refrigeration machines. This building is basically a giant fridge, as real snow will be used.
A search of the building revealed no roof access hatches anywhere. In the end we gave up and left, only to spot stairs on the outside going up. So back in we went, and onto the roof. Whilst up there a torch light headed over to our entrance and moved round the site. Quietly we came back down again and headed off before the guard came back.
An excellent and comical explore - definitely worth seeing.
