After a little run around eastern Germany we had a drive through the most derp'd town i've ever seen in Germany (Don't think it's quite as bad as the whole of Belgium.. though) we stumbled across this old chocolate factory.
Not much remained in the main buildings, but was a lovely looking building with some nice decay which made for a few shots along with the house on the same site which could have belonged to the owner or grounds keeper we were unsure.
The Chocolate Factory Zetti has been around since the 1950s and was a famous candy brand founded in the GDR. The company founded in 1831 by Friedrich August Oehler and later the state-owned VEB Zetti chocolate and sugar confectionery in the town of Zeitz.
In 1994 the company was acquired by the Goldeck Confectionery Co, also a former VEB and based in Leipzig. Since 1995 Zetti-products are again made in Zeitz, and since 1999 a new factory with modern production facilities went into operation.
