The Visit
Having tried this place a few times over the past six months we managed to get into the technical centre a few weeks back and returned determined to finish what we had started! After some tricky access we managed a nice 3 hour explore but missed secca by a mere 30 seconds. Literally as we got in the car outside the secca van arrived and opened the gates!

The History
Cincinnati Machine Tools was a world renowned manufacturer of milling machines. In the 1950's a large factory and modern headquarters was built alongside the canal at Erdington. The buildings are a striking post war modernist statement running along a traditional section of Birmingham waterway, with a single curved span concrete bridge connecting the main entrance to the opposite bank. The design has a particularly modern transatlantic feel when compared to many other contemporary industrial headquarters.

Always liked the look of this place, that floor tiling is mad and the whole place seems to have a real American vibe about it.

I put the factory area in the industrial section but as this is just purely an office building I thought it best to keep in others.

Days are numbered for this place. Noticed a lot of vandalism happening lately when driving past and now the demolition signs have gone up.

I heard its recently been bought by a housing company who plan to build new homes on the site..

Been going there now for the past couple of months. Since early march builders have been demolishing the factory out back and have been removing asbestos from the buildings. The office building is now empty no chairs or tables, nothing its sad to see an interesting building like this go to waste just for homes, it could of been used for anything, even a skatepark.

Abit of both really just helping them do their job as its days are numbered only about a month left till its all gone now as i asked the builder in there lool. One end of the building has been smashed off now ill show u a pic soon.
