Cinema behind Burnley Market

OK, I think that Burnley market will imminently be remodelled and the old odeon cinema which sits behind it will be pulled down.

This would have to definitely be a permission visit. I've emailed the council about it, but obviously never heard back. I tried calling into the shop where the entrance to the cinema is, but the person inside didn't answer the door.

Does anyone have any ideas for me? I really want to see it!

No, not empire.

See the white bit of the building to the right of the picture? That's where it is. The entrance is through a shop on the balcony near the ramp. I think it's a like a police shop or something at the moment... it used to be a mobility shop.

I swear I've seen a report on it, but a couple of years back. I've not been able to find it recently... perhaps it was all a dream?

Hahah! It was a weird community shop front thing.

I'm just not sure where to begin with a permission visit like this.

Studio Cinéma I belive? Was some small bits of protection room left but not much else as it's all storage inside now.

Yeah according to the report I read, studios 2 and 3 are storage for the market, full of cages.

Maybe it wouldn't be as interesting as I had thought!
