City Tower, Manchester - December 2011
Visited with AndrewB, fishbrain, Gone, LiamCH, Millhouse and NickUK.
After nursing our hang-overs from the night before with a much-needed McDougals...
...we picked ourselves up, dusted ourselves down, and had a little look at one of Manchester's finest rooftops - especially given it's location right in the Centre of Manchester (overlooking Piccadilly Gardens).
City Tower is currently the third-highest building in Manchester, behind the Beetham Tower (The Hilton) and the CIS Tower respectively.
Formerly the Sunley Building, the Tower is a 30-storey office block situated at Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester, England. It has the highest office space currently available in Manchester standing 107 metres (351 ft) tall.
It was completed in 1965, the Plaza complex was constructed by the developers Bernard Sunley and designed by Covell, Matthews & Partners.
