Report - Clare Fishers, Bolton - July 2015

The Visit
Tried this place a few months back but access had been repaired. While in the area we gave it another go and had better luck this time. Some interesting bits and bobs about but Spa Mill attached has been all but stripped on the ground floor. Highlight of this explore was meeting a baby pigeon!

The History
Not much history to be found on this place... Clare Fishers Ltd sold tools and power tools, plumbing and electrical equipment, paint and paint supplies and garden supplies. Clare Fishers Ltd also sold locks and key cutting and houseware items.

And that incredibly cute little pigeon!! I was tempted to go back with some food for him so if anyone goes in the near future please take him a little something

No, of course it doesn't matter. If you look in the 'Industrial Sites' section, you'll see at least three reports, one of which, is mine.

Yea it's been done a bit. But still good to see has for spa mill that's sealed up think I was last to do it. And one of first but will put up a report soon from both spa and fisheries. Thx for report

The pigeon was in the mill and the wooden bits and pieces as well. It's sealed from one direction but there's another you are probably aware of. Ground floor is totally stripped with just empty rooms

Please do or take him to a vets or wildlife rescue. At this age he will need feeding every hour or so and kept nice and warm.

You can try syringe feeding or small worms but is difficult due to the baby bird having already recognised it's mother as the same species , and therefore the mother would carry out different behaviour such regurgitate food for its young.

It's hard but very worth it when you get to release them back into the wild

I know the stairwell you mean it was just an egg last I saw. With a damn angry mum. And that stairwell haven't they filled it in with tables and chairs. Also empty odd it was full of stuff when I went. Probably because it's sold now and new owners removed it all.

Yep... that's the one, filled with tables and chairs but theres another way into it, that makes me happier that the Mum was there.. My mate said this morning that there were some pigeons just outside the stairwell so hopefully they are looking after the baby.

The bottom floor was totally stripped now but two floors above had all sorts of stuff, looked like it was a carpet showroom at one time
