Access to the site is much more limited than before. Sadly, fire damage has destroyed parts of the main building however there’s still lots of interesting stuff to see. I’ve included photos taken by a friend of mine Rikki (@derelict_dreams5) from a previous visit in 2024 showing some now inaccessible areas - hope this allowed!


History -

Originally built in 1885 as St Anne’s Industrial School for girls. Here the girls took classes such as cooking, knitting, laundry, needlework and general housework. The school was later closed in 1922 and was taken over as St George’s industrial school for boys. In recent times the school was renamed as Clarence High School which provided educational placements for girls and boys aged seven to 19 years old, with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and who may also experienced associated difficulties, including those on the autistic spectrum. Clarence High School closed around 7 years ago due to "financial pressures" which left the company running it, Nugent Care, to announce the closure.

Honestly this place winds me up, everytime I go and check it out it’s sealed.

I’ve been in here before years ago, but yea it’s just been demolished over the years it’s really sad.

Thanks man, I found the exact same issue literally hit or miss with this place.
