I set off last night with the target of the Avonmouth Sevalco Chemical Plant in mind, however, it didn't look particularly inviting and much busier than previously reported.
Instead, I had a look around the local area and came across the Coal Loading Silos next to St Andrews Road Rail. It is here that imported coal is brought in via the Severn, transported via conveyor belt to the silos, and then deposited into trains for movement via Rail Freight.
The silo platforms are approximatly 150' high and offer good views of the surrounding area and once inside you can follow the path of the conveyor to your hearts content. There is also lots of industrial machinery to see amongst the coal dust.
Again apologies for picture quality until I get a proper camera...
