This place had quite a large interest for a short period and understandably I can see why. It's a large site with a beautiful church situated in the middle of it. There is several large accommodation areas and these seem to be situated either side of the church. One part seems in a far more decayed state than the other side. There was several other buildings outside the main building in use by the nuns. The convent was established by the community of the holy name, they also had property in Derby and London. They built the convent in Malvern in 1879 and the chapel was added in 1891, the convent housed 250 nuns. As with a lot of these large religious nunneries, convents and seminaries numbers started dwindling. Land started getting sold off and finally in 1989 the convent was sold off. It was bought n 1994 by the day of salvation ministries. It was used as a gospel hall till they vacated the site. They restored the building, but can imagine they only restored the church and one accommodation block because of the deteriotaion in the other block.

It's a lovely place, although the goonery that went on recently involving police coming out for people running around on the roof and ringing the bells has hopefully given the owners a kick up the arse to secure it properly.

I ain't seen anything from it for ages now and there was people on site. So a good chance it's been well sealed now

:thumb Thats very nice. Some decay, nice peel. Then bang a stunning chapel, so ornate, so beautiful. What a peach. Golden hit there.
