History: Coppice Hotel Torquay is rated 4 stars and comprises 39 rooms with homely comforts. The coastal Living Coasts Zoo is placed a 25-minute stroll away, and Parish Church Of St Matthias is within 200 metres of the hotel.
Several South West hotels and nursing homes were sold off following the collapse of a high-risk property company in April 2021, this included the Coppice Hotel.
There’s not loads on it being closed either, websites still live
We drove by during a very wet afternoon earlier this year, didn’t seem to be anyone about and a broken window allowed us access. Not sure if there might be people living in there so we didn’t make it round the whole building…..since been boarded up more securely.
