This was AWESOME
Brandon Stadium also known as Coventry Stadium, is located 6 miles east of Coventry in Brandon, Warwickshire, England.
It was the home of the Coventry Bees motorcycle speedway team.
It also hosted BriSCA F1 Stock Car Racing on the 1st Saturday of the month from April through to November.
From 1978 until early 2016 it intermittently hosted greyhound racing. As of recently, it has been closed down and dilapidated.
We managed to get in after my easy access route from the other day had been shut off!!!
But 5 minutes and we were in.
@ShadysDreams was loving it as he used to go there as a kid and was reminiscing.
We had a quick mooch then made our way to the inside via the stands, thankfully we had torches as it was really dark and quite eary.
I DID notice that there were toilet rolls in post of the toilets hehe!!
After checking out the VIP areas and then the little hatch going up into the roof area we went across the track to the far side, then looped back to the front where we checked our the dog area and the merch areas.
It is a massive site and a real good explore, we didn't let the drizzle stop us, just wish we had taken face mask n gloves, they have since been ebay ordered hehe.
Also chatted to my in-laws about the speedway and they remember going over 50 years ago to the stock car racing, I now wanna take my father-in-law to have a mooch!
