28 days ago we wandered into the Croal Culvert under Bolton Town Centre, where the Market Place is now.
It was a very interesting exploration for us novices with a single torch and mobile phones only, albeit the culvert was very simple and did not hold too many exciting parts.
The stuff which could be interesting to climb in was on the other bank and in trainers we had no way to cross the river upstream.
