My boyfriend and I were visiting family for the new year. He mentioned there being an abandoned factory in Torrington (his home town), so on new year's day we went to check it out. Couldn't have wished for a better day, there was hardly a cloud in the sky 
The main art deco style part of the creamery was built in the 1930s; according to an elderly lady we spoke to, this was quite controversial at the time. The factory closed down in 1993, resulting in much local unemployment.
