Really not a lot of info about this place, its just a sewage / water treatment works that has become redundant. The plant is noted on 1892 - 1914 maps so its origins are quite old.
It is quite a nicely decayed place & decent for some pics still however in 2020 there was a Request for Environmental Impact Assessment screening opinion in respect of a proposed installation of a ground mounted solar array development to provide renewable electricity to the existing, operational waste water treatment works on behalf of United Ut so this may utilise most of the old areas.

Visited here sometime middle of the year but without checking pic dates I honestly have no idea when exactly as Iv done rather a lot this year.

I still love seeing this one pop up since my report, it’s a nice spot that seemed to avoid the kid radar, I’m hoping it stays like that till summer at least to get some better shots. Love your photos though, much better than mine. Did you climb up the tank?

Hoping to get there again cause I want to mess around with that manual hoist, looks clean enough that it works!

shame as there is some lovely shots up there with the rusting tank and chimneys, definitely worth doing if you revisit

Just looked at your thread yes that looks pretty decent.
Found a dp thread from. 2010, the roof was still on that shed back then
