I have made a few visits to this place over time. Situated in the back end of nowhere it's a strange building that belonged to Didlington manor. The manor was one of the grandest manors built, it was built in the 17th century. It was requisitioned during the second world war, but like many manors it suffered under use by the military and was eventually demolished in the 50s. So this building I think was used for the workers of the estate, as it's situated in front of a large overgrown square patch with big gates at one end. I can imagine this was prob once a walled garden. There is stables and old greenhouses near it as well. It looks like it was used as a nursery once with the old scales and fertiliser bags and other bits laying about. I quite like this under explored place.
What looks like an old Lister engine
It was nice to see the old gates were made by a local company near me in Norwich. Boulton and Paul was a massive company that made anything out of metal. They even made planes during the war and air raid shelters.
