After moving house a month ago, I finally have internet and can start posting reports again! Woop woop. I unfortunately couldn’t find a lot online regarding the history of this location other than it was constructed sometime around the early 20th century and closed down in the mid 1950’s. Intriguingly, despite being disused for such a length of time the engine hall itself remains in almost pristine condition. somewhat resembling an event space. The site hosts four large diesel-powered engines facing a stunning retro, marble control panel. The ornate and decorative features of the plant contribute to an overall feeling of grandeur. It seems like quite a unique style of industrial architecture (from my own experience anyway.) But as always I’ll let the photos speak for themselves and I hope you enjoy them.
If you've got this far, thanks for reading
